SSW2-52 Dilly Beans

I was at an activity for my boys a few days ago.  My job is to get them there on time, with all their belongings and then I am done ... left to amuse myself for 2 1/2 hours.  I had decided to bring my knitting.  I have a scarf that I have been working on for about 3 years.  I'm going to let you all in on a little secret ... I am terrible knitter.  So jumping to the chase, I was sitting there, struggling to figure out how to pick up my lost stitches when this stranger walked up to me, introduced herself and settled down to help me.  And THIS is what I love about crafters, how friendly and willing to help we are as a group.

So thank you for sharing your gorgeous art, fuzzy friend and beautiful baby pictures.  I think I can speak for the entire Design Team when I say that we enjoy visiting your blogs.  We are so grateful that you join us each week. I think that you will be glad that you stopped by this week.  We have a new sketch and the return of a favored sponsor.

Before we get started with our new challenge, I want to announce last week's winner.  Yippee, it's YOU ...

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and Digi Stamp Boutique

You know me, I love to start my Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 posts with a picture and something to say! Today is Titanic Remembrance Day, a day dedicated to the memory of the Titanic, and over 1500 people who died. On this day in 1912, the Titanic sank in the icy waters of the north Atlantic Ocean. The Titanic was called "unsinkable" and the "safest ship afloat" by her builder and designer. However, on her maiden voyage from England to New York City, the cruise ship Titanic hit an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean. This occurred on April 14, 1912 at 11:40p.m.  Two hours later, with a gaping gash in her side, the ship quickly sank in icy waters. 1522 passengers and crew died.

That's your history lesson for today! Don't worry, there won't be a quiz at the end of this post. Be sure to stick around though for another fabulous sketch and design team inspiration.

But first, let's find out who our winner of a $12 gift certificate from A Day for Daisies is...

A Day for Daisies

A Day For Daisies began as a small token to a constant need to create. Pairing a love of whimsical illustration, with a tidy graphic design background, Tammy S Thompson, produced her first stamp designs, introducing irresistibly sweet stamps to crafters around the globe. Drawing inspiration from the beautiful world around us, she strives to express the happiness and gratitude she feels in each stamp design she creates.
Presently, A Day For Daisies has grown to over 3,000 Digital Stamps with a quickly expanding line of Best Loved Clear Polymer. A Day For Daisies has been published and awarded over the years for innovative and unique designs created to inspire the crafting community. With a whole team behind her now, she remains passionate about illustration, obsessed with quality, and dedicated to her customers. A Day For Daisies thanks you for your ideas, comments, and creativity!

We are sponsored by

MelJen's Designs

and the prize is 4 non coloured images.

Melissa's Bio:  My name is Melissa Jenkins, and I am a homeschooling mommy and wife to my best friend. We have two children, two cats and three hermit crabs. When I'm not drawing, I love spending lots of time with my family cuddling on the couch, playing games, going for walks, fishing, visiting the park & the zoo, collecting postage stamps, or just plain watching movies.
I've been an artist as long as I can remember - and I am inspired by everything around me. All of my digital stamp designs are inspired by my children (and husband!) and things they do, our cats, things we see on nature walks and daily 'adventures', or memories I have of my childhood. Animals too - I love animals! Art is an uplifting thing for me, and I love designing cute tidbits of art that makes people smile.
I draw all of my little creations by hand. A lot of love goes into my art! Each of my designs is sketched in pencil, inked with a black Micron pen, then scanned in and lightly cleaned up so it will look crisp when you print it.
I LOVE inspiring crafters. I am not very talented at making cards myself, so I LOVE seeing all of the beautiful things that you make with my digital stamps. I couldn't ask for a better blessing!

Here's what the design team did this week with the sweet images

Now it's your turn to share with us your inspiration. Check us out on Facebook where we feature a few cards from our players each week as well as preview the new sketch every Tuesday.

Please don't forget and be sure to leave a comment on this blog post to be eligible for the grand prize
