May Sketches at SSW2

  Hello and Welcome to our May challenge

It's Anne here as your hostess for May. I am from Yorkshire in the north of England famous for Yorkshire puddings among other things but a very diverse county with everything from cities to moorland to beaches. We are just coming into spring and next doors clematis is looking wonderful trailing over the gazebo in our garden, I think we have more of it on our side than they have on theirs.

The blue-tits have returned to our nest box as well this year. The picture is of a previous visitor but it reaaly feels like spring is well and truly here when we see them and hear the chirruping coming from the box.

So onto the challenge for this month.

We have two new sketches for you this month and a retro sketch.

You can enter up to three projects per month so why not try out all three of our sketches we would love to see your entries.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to enter our April Challenge.  We visited so many lovely cards on your sites and now we'll be choosing our winners. On the 21st of May, we'll be back with another post announcing our winner and the Top 3 cards for the April challenge along with some more inspiration.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 April Sketches

 Good morning, crafty friends!  It's Kelly here as your hostess for April!  I am from Southern Alberta, Canada!  I live an hour east of Calgary.  Kind of in the middle of nowhere but also the middle of everywhere, if that makes sense!  

Calgary hosts the Calgary Stampede every summer in July and it is 10 days of fun!  We enjoy the rodeo, chuckwagon races, cattle shows, and various concerts.

 

 

 

We live in rural Alberta and while things don't look this green right now as we are just coming out of winter, summers are lovely!

 

We are about 2 1/2 hours from Canmore/Banff and the mountains are amazing!

SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY 2 MARCH 2025

 Good morning and welcome to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.  I'm Kathie, a team member and sketch designer from                Auckland, New Zealand. 

If your geography is good, you'll know that New Zealand is in the southern hemisphere. We are the first country in the world to see the sunrise daily.

Our Christmases are usually warm, sometimes sunny, and families celebrate differently, traditionally or with BBQs at the beach or at home. 

                I live approximately 50km from Auckland,  Auckland is called the City of Sails. I live in Pukekohe, they call it the bread basket of New Zealand for its Market Gardens and cropping land with the rich volcanic soil and Dairy Farming, Sheep and Beef cattle farming as well.

Auckland's Population is approximately 2 million.
