Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 with Lacy Sunshine Stamps

Welcome to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and to all our friends and followers.
It's Kathie here from New Zealand a team member of SSW2.  We welcome you to our challenge this week.  For those who are our loyal followers, we thank you so very much for playing along with us week after week.  We are inspired by your creativity and enjoy your friendship and following.  For those of you joining us for the first time we welcome you and hope we inspire you to play along with us this week and into the future.

Well New Zealanders are waking up early in the mornings just to watch their favourite rugby team play rugby in the World Cup which is being held in England this year.  Four years ago the world cup was held in New Zealand and our mighty All Black team won the cup.  We are now defending the cup again and hoping our team will bring it home.

Heather Valentin  is  creative ,  award winning,  modern-day  fantasy and  whimsical  artist who has displayed a dynamic and vibrant energy while painting professionally for over 18 years.

She  began to express herself creatively through movement at a very young age.
For many years she studied dance, being drawn to forms that allowed creative self expression, all the while feeling this constant urge to create with her hands. The canvas is now her dance floor where color, beauty and drama are expressed through her every pencil sketch and  brush stroke. Her  subjects vary from fairies, fantasy, mermaids, vampires, dragons, wildlife, abstract and more. She is one who is inspired in a single moment. Her  dreams, moods and the the unfolding beauty of the world around her is what charts her dance for the day. She is most alive when sketching and painting, creating timeless pieces that reflect her heart and soul. Drawing breathes life into her soul- it enables her to reach out and touch lives. This gives her a place in the world one character and painting at a time.
Heather's  artist portfolio  has  expanded to include such  clients  as Pepsi, Outback Steakhouse, Nabisco, Zephryhils  and can now be found  at Laguna Art, Third Stone Art Gallery and Sausalito Art Galleries, along with commercial and private collections across
the globe.
Her latest foray is to immortalize her popular drawn characters Eleanor and Pickles in a children's book of their own.

Our very lucky winner will receive

The Design Team can't wait to see all the fabulous creations you're going to make this week. The rules for playing along can be found by clicking the CHALLENGE RULES tab at the top of the page.

This week I've included the Challenge Rules for you as a quick reminder.  My reason for this is that I've been noticing that a lot of our entries aren't including a copy of our sketch to their posting nor are they commenting.  This means you aren't eligible to win and we don't want you creating a card and then missing out.

10/15

If this was a maths test I would be pleased with the result, it isn't this is the figure of entries that needed reminding that their entry didn't include our sketch or they haven't left a comment on our blog and I've had to remind everyone.
Please read the Challenge Rules as we don't want you to miss out.

Challenge Rules

Here are the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 challenge rules for playing along:

  • Create a card using the sketch of the week.  You can get creative with the Sketch, rotate... flip... but the Sketch must be recognizable in your card =)
  • If you have an image from the current week's Sponsor, we'd love to see what you can do with it. However, you may use any stamp or element you have to create your card.
  • If you are posting to an online gallery, please use SSW2 #(current challenge number) as your label or tag.
  • Add the sketch of the week to your blog and include a link back to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
  • Post your card on your blog along with the link to SSW2.
  • Sign in to Inlinkz and add a direct link back to your card on your site.
  • In order to be considered for the Grand Prize, be sure to leave a comment on the current Challenge post.
Please remember to comment on this post to be eligible to win.
