June 2026 - Surveys and Sketches

Hello and welcome back to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2!  We're happy to have you join us for June. I'm Anne here as your hostess this month.

Before we get into the sketches I'd like to ask you a few questions,  we've been thinking about making some tweaks for a while and your answers may help us decide on the way forward. Please use the comments section for your responses, we would love to hear your feedback.

Question 1 - Would you prefer a monthly challenge or a challenge twice a month with an extra challenge on a 5th Wednesday?

Question2 - Would you like an optional theme as an alternative to the sketch challenge so you would either follow the sketch or make a card with a theme?

Question3 - When you enter a challenge how important is the chance to win a physical or digital prize?

We have all the sketches ready for next year so we're not planning on going anywhere but maybe just tweaking things a little.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our May sketches. We'll be back next week with our winner and top picks.

So onto our June sketches.  Remember, you can enter up to 3 projects per month, and luckily, we have 2 fab new sketches and a retro sketch to choose from.

 Our June sketches are:

 Sketch #328

Sketch #329

And here is our fun retro sketch #228 from May 2022. Please follow the link for inspiration.

Here is the inspiration for the new sketches

We have Colien as our guest designer this month. Here is her beautifully bright  card using

For one of our winners, there is a chance to win a place as a guest designer on Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.  So it's worth playing along with us!!!
This challenge is open until 23.55 UK time on the 30th of June 2026, as our new Challenge will launch on the 1st of July.

Happy Crafting and Good Luck
Anne and the SSW2 Design Team

***A reminder that one of our rules is to include the sketch that you used on your entry.  This helps you be eligible as the winner or in the Top 3 or 5, and it also promotes Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 to other crafters who read your blog, and if you enter other Challenges, others see your entry and might love the sketch you've used and wonder where you got your idea from.  Thank you for helping us***

  1. Hi Anne,
I like the sketches allways! Compliments for Kathie!
An option/ theme is nice too. And twice a month is sometimes too much, sometimes I can hardlyr wait for the new challenge. All prices are great, fysical or
digitale. Even a challenge sometimes without a price is okay.

The DT work today is wonderful!! I'll join you again!

  2. Once a month is enough I think but for the rest I say: keep on giving us so much inspiration with all these lovely sketches and dt-work!

  3. I am not a regular poster of your Challenge blog, but sometimes I'm inspired by your great sketches. It would be great to see sometimes a twist next to the sketch. And I prefer a digital price, as I live in the Netherlands. That's easier to me , because we cannot trust the post anymore and we have to pay extra for postpackets out of a foreign country.
A Challenge once in a month is enough, then I have plenty of time to work at a card 😉
    Love your inspiration!

  4. Hi Lovely Ladies, I love to follow some of your fabulous sketches when my mojo is AWOL, a prize is an optional extra to have and due to postage costs digital ones are easier to share worldwide. I have kept copies of some of my favourite sketches on my computer. I am happy with once a month challenges as it gives me plenty of time to get creative whilst recovering from surgery.
    Many thanks for the challenge,
    Megan

  5. Thank you for the challenge. Lovely work by the design team.
I would like the challenge twice a month. But if only once a month would like to be able to post more cards. Don't need prizes but digital is better. I only make digital cards with coloured images and papers due to my sore hands and bad eyes. I can't see to colour. I don't know how much longer I will be able to make digital cards as my eyesight is getting worse. My right eye is too damaged and the left one is also blurry. I am on some design teams so I love using your sketches.

  6. I like your challenge for years, thank you so much for all the inspiration and organizing all this.
I prefer monthly format because I have more time to make a card. I can't folow every two weeks.
I prefer sketches because I like them very much.
Prizes are nice but not so important to me because I just like following the sketches. Physical prizes are incredible but I think it is easier to have digital prizes because of the international post and costs.

  7. I really like the month format, specially with 3 sketches; it gives me a chance to play along. And I definitely like the sketch (I almost always start my cards with a sketch as I'm not good at coming up with my own), but an optional twist to play along with would be ok. I personally do not prefer digital prizes. I also have plenty of physical product, so having challenges that don't offer a prize is fine with me.

  8. I literally just found your blog this morning via a very old link from a SCS featured stampers blog upload from years ago (2015) and I don't generally enter things to win the prizes but, I do think the sketches look really neat and I am tempted to try one. (but, the list of my to-do samples is long at the moment) So I hope you can keep it going without the hassle of the prizes as you never know when someone will find you guys.

    1. Thanks so much Stacy for taking the time to comment. It's so lovely that you found us. I've been on the team for 16 years and I think it started about 2009. The members of the team are totally different now but I'm still here. So now we are looking at new fresher idea's so all comments will be taken on board and discussed with the team. I can't wait to comment on your cards when you have time to craft.

  9. Hello ladies! As a follower of this blog, you know how much I enjoy & am inspired by your fabulous sketches. Being the co-owner of 11 different challenge blogs, I understand the need to 'tweak' things from time to time. I enjoy have a variation in sketches offered twice a month but totally understand the behind the scenes work involved so totally understand if you choose to go monthly. An option twist of a theme is a fun idea too. What ever you decide on, I'm just glad you're 'sticking around'!! I truly enjoyed the sketch I used for my entry today ... in fact, in the process of using that same sketch for a 2nd card. Thanks for wonderful inspiration and hard work. Well done ladies!

  10. Hi Ladies, I think your challenge works very well as it is, monthly gives time to join in and more than one sketch to choose from gives plenty of scope. Personally, not at all bothered about prizes either physical or digital, just like to play along when I can.
Thanks for all the lovely sketches and of course the inspiration from the DT.

  11. Question 1 - I like the monthly challenge with 3 sketches, :)

Question2 - Theme would be nice but I like the 3 sketches alone too.

Question3 - When you enter a challenge how important is the chance to win a physical or digital prize? Prize is always nice, but doesn't affect my playing.

Thank you for making these great sketches and inspirations.
